SIGVARIS Congratulates Golfer Brittany Lincicome on Her Win at the Canadian Women's Open

SIGVARIS was proud to cheer on Brittany Lincicome as she won the CN Canadian Women's Tour Sunday in Quebec.

2011-09-01
PEACHTREE CITY, GA, September 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) SIGVARIS, the global leader in medical compression therapy and DVT prevention advocate, applauds Brittany Lincicome on her win at the CN Canadian Women's Open. Lincicome endorses SIGVARIS' Active Therapy Line and practices in the SIGVARIS Cotton Golf Socks.

Lincicome's win on Sunday makes it her fifth LPGA title, and her second win this year. "Battling it out with the world's best golfers can be both mentally and physically exhausting," Lincicome says. "Thanks to SIGVARIS Cotton Golf Socks, my legs feel as energized and ready to go on the final hole as they do on the first. With many tournaments coming down to the wire, SIGVARIS socks give me the comfort and reliability to perform at my peak ability."

As a tribute to such an extraordinary golfer, SIGVARIS' Cotton Golf Sock box features Lincicome playing golf on the women's box.

Lincicome is not the only golfer sporting the SIGVARIS Cotton Golf Socks from the Active Therapy Line. In a field study of professional and recreational golfers, 86 percent of participants said their legs and/or ankles felt less tired and achy after wearing these socks, and more than 95 percent of the study participants said they would recommend these socks to a fellow golfer. The Cotton Golf Socks are available at PGA TOUR Superstores.

A growing trend among competitive athletes is the use of compression therapy socks to help improve their game. Wearing true graduated compression, compression that is tightest at the ankle, during and after exercise or competition can help flush out lactic acid and provide symptomatic relief of delayed onset leg muscle soreness.

SIGVARIS, through the Active Therapy Line of socks, has several strategic partnerships in place with established endurance sports organizations in North America, including: Road Runner's Club of America (RRCA), USProTri, Southern Crescent Cycling Club, Cross Country Canada (CCC-skiing), the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons.
