LateRooms.com - Prepare Your Dancing Shoes for Samba Syndrom in Berlin

Berlin is set to host a series of dance workshops and performances as part of the Samba Syndrom festival.

2010-08-18
BERLIN, GERMANY, August 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) A taste of Latin America will be coming to Berlin towards the end of next month as the German capital prepares to host the annual Samba Syndrom festival.

Taking place between September 23rd and 26th 2010 at FEZ Berlin, the home of Landesmusikakademie Berlin, the event comprises a range of activities that are sure to get visitors' hips shaking and pulses racing.

Tourists eager to get active during their stay in Berlin hotels can sign up for one of the workshops, which will be run by German and international experts throughout the festival.

Patinho Axe, Nilo Sergio and Carlos Da Silva, all of whom are from Berlin, are among the skilled dancers who will be giving tuition, with the former promising to run a class combining samba styles with reggae music.

Youngsters should also be well catered for at this year's event, with Paulo Sommer and his band Cataporas holding sessions for children aged between 11 and 16.

However, those who would rather take a more hands-off approach to the world of samba can instead choose to simply sit back, relax and watch one of the evening concerts.

Interested participants can book their places on one of these courses via the Samba Syndrom website, with prices varying for different workshops.

The professional exercises cost EUR110 (GBP90.50) per person, while the standard adult tuition is available for just EUR75 per person.

Anyone aged 20 or under can take advantage of the discounted price of EUR25.

Organisers of the festival have asked that groups who are planning to attend book their tickets as a party, in order to save time.

For more information on this event, visit the Samba Syndrom website or contact the organisers on (+49) 30 53 07 12 69.

Revolution, 51st Century Earns 5 Star Book Review
2010-08-18
"This novel will make you question the future of our society and wonder if this could actually be a look at where our nation is heading. The story was well thought out and in a style and depth expected of someone with Gallen's education and law experience. "Revolution, 51st Century was a fast read at 125 pages but never left you wanting for details. Gallen did a great job developing the characters and landscape and left out the unnecessary fluff. He brought you straight to the heart of the story and kept you there till the end. "The story was laid out in a manner ...
