Chapman Freeborn Shortlisted For Top Singapore Business Award

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering is one of the top three finalists for Outstanding Professional Services award at the 12th Annual Business Awards organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore.

2011-09-01
SINGAPORE, September 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, the world's leading aircraft charter and aviation support company has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Professional Services at the prestigious Singapore Annual Business Awards.

Organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore, the event recognises the outstanding achievements of businesses and entrepreneurs within the Singapore business community.

Mark Middleton, Director of Chapman Freeborn Singapore, said:

"We are very happy to be selected as one of the strongest entries to compete in the Outstanding Professional Services category. The British Chambers of Commerce has presented us an excellent platform to showcase Chapman Freeborn's achievements in the air chartering industry."

The nine award categories are: Customer Service Excellence; Extraordinary CSR Practice; Productivity Improvement; Innovation in Business; Inspirational Creativity; Education & Training Excellence; Outstanding Professional Services; Young Professional of the Year, and last but not least, Best Small Business Rising Star of the Year.

Companies which are either a Singapore registered company or a British Chamber Member are eligible to nominate themselves for the Annual Business Awards.

The Awards Committee chaired by British Chamber Board Member Emma Boyd met to review all of the nominations. The Committee reported that the quality of nominations for the awards - now in their twelfth year - was again at a higher level than previous years.

Business leaders from reputable global companies, Singapore Associations and Think Tanks will review the nominations during the final judging. The decision on the winning entry is the result of the combined score of three separate judges, who independently score each submission using the same scoring matrix. Each category will have a nominated Judge who is considered to be a sector specialist.

Last year, the winner for Outstanding Professional Services went to Standard Chartered Bank.

For the first time in the history of the Business Awards, BBC World News will be covering the event as an exclusive media partner. Winners will be announced at the 12th Annual Business Awards Gala Dinner to be held on 5th October 2011.
