North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Names Dr. Chessie Green As President

Organization Dedicated To Compassionate Animal Care And Quality Medicine Names 2011-2012 Executive Board

RALEIGH, NC, September 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.ncvma.org/) has announced that it has named Dr. Chessie Green as president of the organization. Green is an owner and partner at Falls Village Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh, where she practices small animal general medicine and surgery. She is the former president of the Friends of the NCVMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the organization. A North Carolina native, Green is a graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Va., and the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Green also attended the University of Reading, in the United Kingdom, and Green College at Oxford University, also in the United Kingdom.

The 2011-2012 executive board includes:

- President-Elect: Dr. Scotty Gibbs, Hilltop Animal Hospital, Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
- Vice President: Dr. David Linzey, Animal Emergency & Pet Care Clinic, Boone, N.C.
- Secretary and Treasurer: Dr, Shannon Foy, Brentwood Veterinary Center, Wilson, N.C.
- Immediate Past President: Dr. Suzanne Sewell, Crestview Veterinary Hospital, Marion N.C.
