Freedom Marathon, Inc. (FMI) is teaming up with Charity Partners for their upcoming Norfolk Freedom Half Marathon on Veterans Day weekends in Norfolk, VA. FMI is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and support the needs of Veterans and their families through running events. The inaugural event is a weekend of events for the entire family.Charity Partners provides a free fundraising platform to increase funding to charities and the causes they support. FMI will provide:
•A link for each charity to have a brief description about the cause they support and a link to their website
•A "donate" button that takes users to the charity's website in order to make contributions
In turn each charity agrees to have 15 registered runners for the Half Marathon or 30 or more runners for the Wounded Warrior and Family Fun Run 5K. At the end of each race FMI will provide 10 x 10 tent space at the finish line that can be used to raise funds for the charity.
