While the public is browsing the showcase, a Pyramid STEM Competition will be going on. The competition is part of the Pyramid STEM Challenge. The Challenge was designed to improve skills in our youth through education, exposure, mentoring and brainteasers. The competition at the Technology Showcase is targeted to students from Grades 3-8. This is a timed competition to complete 4-5 brainteasers. Brainteasers are a fun way for our youth to exercise and train the brain, building skills that are critical to those considering technology careers. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals or teams with the best scores.
Students, organizations and industry can participate as exhibitors and as individual or team Pyramid STEM competitors. Sponsors are also being sought. This is a great opportunity for your company to receive exposure and help to support a worthy cause. As a participating sponsor, you will receive reference in all promotional materials, an opportunity to include branded items in attendee gift bags and ensure the winners and participants of the Pyramid STEM competition receive long term reminders of the value of technology in their lives.
The digital divide still exists. We must do all we can to close the gap of awareness.
