LAWRENCEVILLE, GA, September 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) DD started their Travel Blog called 'Hitting The Road With DD' because they travel extensively to manage national client accounts. They know what it's like to be stuck in an unfamiliar city with a few hours of downtime and an itch for entertainment. The DD Travel Blog is a resource for business travelers that have to go to unfamiliar cities for meetings, tradeshows, etc. It can really be a drag to stay in an unfamiliar bed, eat hotel food and generally just miss out on life while you are away. The Travel Blog provides a list of activities, restaurants and tips for major show cities so the business traveler can make business trips both personally and professionally fulfilling.
DD is looking to build a road warrior community where travelers can submit their own experiences and have them posted to the Blog. To encourage this participation and to create excitement, DD has crafted a contest that has several categories and prize opportunities. With categories like 'Most Creative Entry' and 'Sweetest Restaurant Submission', DD is looking for places that are off the beaten path; places that the locals might not even know about as well as places that are just downright amazing.
The submission process is easy. Clients, friends and strangers can go to the Travel Blog at http://www.dimensionaldesign.net/blog and read the first post for rules and guidelines. Then they just pop open an email box, enter their Name, the Business Name or Travel Tip and then a two sentence description of 'Why It's Awesome'. The contest closes on October 1st so the contest is in its final weeks. To support the larger contest, DD has been running a weekly email contest with $25 gift cards to national businesses like Target, Barnes and Noble, etc. They are quick photo identification contests and the fastest correct response wins. DD has seen a lift in responses due to the weekly email competitions.
All of the contests are open to clients, friends and even strangers. DD wants to build a community that helps each other and provides solid advice and assistance. Frequent travelers have an unspoken bond and generally love to share their experience and travel knowledge with others. They are also a group that seems to know how to get a good deal on almost anything. DD is looking to capture and share that knowledge for the benefit of all business travelers.
