2011 Ford F-150 Named Highest Initial Quality, Available at Steamboat Motors

Steamboat Motors is carrying J.D. Power and Associates highest ranked large pickup in Initial Quality, the 2011 Ford F-150.

2011-09-16
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO, September 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) J.D. Power and Associates conducted their 2011 Initial Quality Study, surveying over 73,000 buyers and lessees of 2011 vehicles. The survey covered questions concerning design-related problems and defects that owners identified within the first 90 days of ownership. At the end of the survey, the 2011 Ford F-150 was named the highest ranking large pickup in Initial Quality.

One reason for the 2011 F-150's Initial Quality rating is its best-in-class capabilities. The F-150 has the highest payload and towing capacity in the full-size pickup class. In addition, the F-150 comes with an integrated trailer brake controller, the first in its class. This controller syncs the truck's brakes with the trailer's brake, thus delivering greater stability. The frame of the 2011 F-150 is stronger than any other full-size pickup, delivering superior quality and performance.

The 2011 Ford F-150's all-new engine choices also add to its initial quality. Starting with the 3.7-Liter V6 and followed by 5.0-Liter V8, the engines of the F-150 offer top of the line performance. The 6.2-Liter V8 delivers the most power with 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque. The V6 engine also has an EcoBoost option which achieves greater efficiency through direct injection technology combined with a twin-turbocharged engine.

Initial Quality encompasses the truck's interior as well. An acoustically designed cabin gives the 2011 F-150 a quiet ride. Plenty of storage space, flat-loading floor, and a 60/40 rear folding bench make this pickup convenient and versatile. The F-150 offers premium safety features as well such as crash sensors, dual-stage airbags, and canopy side-curtain airbags.
