Master Planned Community, West Houston, Hosts Fulshear Creek Crossing Scarecrow Festival Oct. 22, 2011
2011-10-19
PROSPECT, KY, October 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Fall festivals in Houston do not compare to the Annual Scarecrow Festival hosted by Fulshear Creek Crossing a unique west Houston master planned community in Ft. Bend County known for new homes for sale in the Katy and Fulshear region on oversized lots. Community events in Fulshear Creek Crossing showcase Coventry Homes and David Weekley Homes, west Houston, in their natural setting amidst rolling terrain, native grasses and a fully developed vineyard.

The popular Houston fall festival on October 22 from noon-6 will feature a live scarecrow on stilts, a voter's choice scarecrow competition, pumpkin decorating for the kids and a grape stomp and bocce ball tournament for adults. Attendance is expected to exceed that of the inaugural Fulshear Creek Crossing Scarecrow Festival in 2010 that drew 1,300 to experience the small-town charm of Fulshear, Texas. Check www.fccscarecrowfestival.com for competition requirements, ticket information and directions and information on new home sales in Fulshear, Katy or Houston, Texas.

Additionally, entertainment will be provided by area students from Huggins Elementary and Simonton Christian Academy, a puppet show from the newly formed Arts Council of Fulshear, Seven Lakes (Katy ISD) High School student singer, Jenna Mazzoccoli, and area bands. An outdoor Feast under the stars, a special ticketed event, follows the conclusion of the Scarecrow Festival at 6:30 p.m., and includes wine, special live music and a gourmet meal prepared by Danish Chef Soren Pedersen of Ray's Grill in downtown Fulshear, Texas.

Quality Houston home builders David Weekley Homes and Coventry Homes are among the sponsors of the Fulshear Creek Crossing Scarecrow Festival. New home builders Weekley and Coventry offer buyers the small-town charm of Fulshear Creek Crossing including spacious oversized lots, a family friendly recreational center and Grand Lodge with convenient proximity to shopping, entertainment and exemplary Lamar Consolidated ISD schools. Fulshear area residents enjoy a uniquely relaxed lifestyle, just minutes from the West Houston Energy Corridor, Grand Parkway and the Galleria. Fulshear Creek Crossing is attracting new home buyers who are nature lovers, preferring to live in a protected premier Houston master planned community committed to reserving 20% of the development to hiking trails and open spaces for public enjoyment.
