2011-10-22
SAN RAFAEL, CA, October 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) Market Metrix, the premier source for guest and employee feedback management solutions for hospitality, has expanded its presence in Europe by opening an office in Barcelona, Spain. Leonard W. Nash, Market Metrix co-founder, and Georgina Pares, recently appointed Director of Business Development, will head the office.

"The European, Middle East and African hospitality markets are known for their long tradition of service and innovation. We are delighted to be in this celebrated region and excited to support the industry with our cutting edge services and technology," said Leonard Nash, co-founder. "Effectively obtaining, analyzing and acting upon guest feedback is essential for any size hospitality enterprise anywhere in the world. We look forward to helping companies generate faithful customers through unique, targeted improvement strategies and positioning them to increase market share as spending accelerates," said Nash.

Market Metrix's EMEA presence is a natural continuation of the company's growth that began 15 years ago. Market Metrix currently serves hospitality clients throughout the EMEA region, including Meliá Hotels International, Barcelo, Rotana, Swissotel, Sun International and Rixos.

Thanks to closer proximity, the new office is intended to better serve existing customers as well as more easily attract new clients.

"This is a market that is ripe for hospitality innovation," says Pares, a former McKinsey and Co. consultant who led the growth of a Spanish software company into Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Maghreb. "By being closer, speaking multiple languages and working within the same time zone, Market Metrix EMEA will help hundreds of clients, new and existing, transform feedback into strong performance."

The California-based privately held company now derives a sizable share of its total company sales from companies outside of the U.S. Market Metrix plans to more than double its revenue in EMEA over the next two years and to expand its presence in other markets worldwide. Market Metrix offices are currently located in Larkspur, California; Barcelona, Spain and Singapore.
