LONDON, ENGLAND, November 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) With the UK in a state of flux, several changes are being made to restore the balance of our economy. One of the topics with the most controversy surrounding it has been the recent rise in University tuition fees. Although students are not required to pay there fee's upfront, it is predicted that the average graduate will leave university with a debt of GBP39,000. The Outsource Sales Association believes "[t]hat this is a staggering increase, something that many graduates will struggle to pay back even if they gain employment."

With unemployment at an all time high, parents and student alike are questioning the value of degrees, as reported in The Independent's recent survey. The Outsources Sales Association the authoritative, governing body formed independently to represent and regulate the outsourced sales industry in the United Kingdom has many companies as its members who are looking for able and self motivated graduates to fill their field sales force positions. "There is a new paradigm operating in the UK economy," said an OSA spokesman. "The concept of PAYE employment has changed and businesses are looking to control their overheads by having self employed staff."

Often the rewards for those taking the self employed route are greater as companies can afford to give a bit extra. The OSA feels that the outsourced sales industry can offer a lifeline for students who are finding it difficult to find employment in their chosen field. The opportunity to be self-employed, with the ability choose your own hours can be a huge advantage when it comes to having the freedom to prepare for and attend interviews. Of course outsource sales is a purely commission based industry, so it goes without saying that the harder an individual works, the greater the financial reward.

"Outsource sales doesn't have to be just a "time-filler," said the Head of Compliance at the OSA. "Many people have forged extremely lucrative enterprises from the opportunities that the industry has to offer."

From the perspective of a person seeking position the outsource sales industry offers immediate opportunities. You are not required to have any form of specific qualification or any previous experience to work in the sector. All members of the Outsource Sales Association have to take successful candidates through a formal training program. Graduates will receive product training and on-site mentoring from people who are experienced in the field.

There are several skill-sets a candidate can expect to develop. Good interpersonal communication skills as they are constantly in contact with the public and need to handle all eventualities. The latest sales and negotiation skills that are invaluable in most professions. Time management and organization in this industry is essential. Graduates set the pace for themselves as generally they are their own boss.

However there are some obvious challenges within the outsource sales industry that need to be considered. This is a purely commission based profession. On the bright side the more they sell, the greater the financial rewards. Successful candidates must develop the ability to tolerate rejection. It can motivate some, yet others find it tough. Personal selling often means spending a lot of time working outside.

Of course being their own boss is a fantastic opportunity because it means that there is no limit to the extent that graduates can succeed. Outsource Sales Association members believe in nurturing talents and helping them to set up thir own companies. This entails financial and administration support in order to ensure that all new companies are on a sound footing giving them the very best chance to succeed.
