One Thousand Ocean's Rendezvous Live Auction Item Benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward

Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County fetches $13,000 during auction for item donated by One Thousand Ocean during its 24th annual Showboats International Rendezvous.

2011-11-25
BOCA RATON, FL, November 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) In the spirit of giving, One Thousand Ocean donated a live auction item which fetched $13,000 during the 24th annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County's Showboats International Rendezvous held in Palm Beach County.

The item entitles the winning bidder to host a private party for 30 guests in a 8,700-square-foot penthouse in the iconic Ocean-to-Intracoastal condominium building located adjacent to the Boca Raton Resort & Club's Beach Club. In addition, the winner will enjoy an overnight stay with up to five guests in the main resort tower's exclusive three-bedroom Presidential Suite, as well as breakfast and a private poolside cabana on the day following the party.

"One Thousand Ocean was delighted to participate this year," said Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed One Thousand Ocean. "In addition to helping raise the stakes for auction, we were able to showcase our building and the enviable lifestyle it offers in a display area within the Luxe Pavilion at the Rybovich Yacht Center in West Palm Beach. Hundreds of yacht owners and stylish partygoers attended the three days of festivities.

One Thousand Ocean also offered Rendezvous guests the opportunity to register in a drawing and the winner was given a weekend stay-for-2 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Telchin and members of the One Thousand Ocean sales team joined in the many activities that collectively made International Rendezvous "the" place to be.

According to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, more than $1 million was raised for the non-profit organization that inspires and enables at-risk youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

"The experience was gratifying because we were able to contribute to a very worthy cause," Telchin said. "The non-profit Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is dedicated to helping young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical period of growth."

One Thousand Ocean is the iconic condominium building located at the Boca Inlet and adjacent to the Boca Raton Resort & Club's Beach Club. Only 12 of 52 residences are currently available, including one-story Residences and Penthouses and two-story Beach Villas. Prices are from approximately $3 million to $15 million.
