HOUSTON, TX, November 25, 2011 (Press-News.org) Lanner, a provider of simulation technology proven to maximize business performance and optimize use of resources, has today released details of its involvement in the upcoming Winter Simulation Conference (WSC), being held in Phoenix, Arizona this December, 11th - 14th 2011.
Geoff Hook, BPM Solutions Director at Lanner, will be chairing the 'Business Process Modeling' track, which will include presentations from Lanner, Syracuse University, and IBM Research.
Explaining the importance of simulation within BPM Geoff Hook says, "Simulation is now an established capability of Business Process Management (BPM) suites and so analysts need to consider simulation within the process modeling phase of an integrated project."
He continues, "It's becoming increasingly important to understand how discrete event simulation can be leveraged correctly within BPM software; learning from traditional standalone industrial engineering applications of simulation. This track will particularly focus on how simulation technology has been applied alongside process modeling tools and will summarize the future direction required to ensure simulation plays a full part in a mature BPM environment."
WinterSim Conference, an annual event, attracts simulation professionals and industries from across the globe to discuss the latest simulation technology advances and trends. Spanning four days, the conference includes presentations and exhibitions from leading companies, industry groups, technology vendors and academic institutions.
Registration is now open for Winter Simulation Conference 2011, for more details visit wintersim.org
