Former CED Executive Joins Secure Enterprise Computing

Bob Pickens has joined Secure Enterprise Computing, Inc. (www.secure-enterprise.com) as president and COO. Pickens is a veteran entrepreneurial executive with more than 35 years of management experience.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, August 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Bob Pickens has joined Secure Enterprise Computing, Inc. (www.secure-enterprise.com) as president and COO. Pickens is a veteran entrepreneurial executive with more than 35 years of management experience. He will lead the Morrisville, North Carolina-based company as it expands its outreach into new vertical markets in need of network and data security consulting, assessment and remediation services throughout the Southeast.

"Bob's breadth of experience, business skills and integrity are unmatched," says Randall Bennett, Secure Enterprise Computing CEO and co-founder. "We are extremely proud and excited to have him as a key member of our management team."

Pickens joins Secure Enterprise Computing after serving as director of entrepreneurship for CED for the past year. He has a coveted history of advancing technology in the region and throughout the state, bringing the first computer games company to RTP as co-founder of Interactive Magic before taking it public in 1998. He has since served as CEO/president of CDV Software Entertainment USA, was CFO of Virtual Heroes, Inc., where he helped orchestrate its 2009 sale to Applied Research Associates, and served as CFO and COO of Raleigh-based First Research, Inc, which was sold to Dun and Bradstreet in 2007. Pickens has helped raise more than $100 million in capital throughout his career.
