LazerModels Offers Wooden Model Kits for Discerning Tastes

BUENA PARK, CA, November 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Many individuals remember the satisfaction of creating a model plane, train or ship from a pile of parts that later held honored positions on mantels and shelves. LazerModels is bringing back the joy of creation with unique, one-of-a-kind wooden models.

LazerModels.com offers distinctive wooden model kits that bring back all the fun of building a precision creation that are a joy to behold. Each design is created from Baltic Birch imported from Russia and Finland. The models have a rustic look, but they can be painted, embellished and customized to accommodate a variety of individual preferences.

Kits are appropriate for youngsters age six to adult. Younger children will need the assistance of a parent or sibling. LazerModels encompass a wide variety of designs representing land, air and sea, along with a number of guns. All models are cut in-house by LazerModels and are made in the U.S. The one-of-a-kind models feature key details for an authentic look and the firm offers a line of mini puzzles that require no glue to assemble.

Visitors can choose from land vehicles that include a front engine dragster, or a replica of the historic Unit 263 fire truck from Venice Beach, CA complete with sliding deck covers, doors that open and close, and removable ladders. Humvee fans can choose the H1 Hummer with .50 caliber gun, wheels that roll and doors that open. The powerhouse M1 tank features a .50 caliber gun, hatches that open and a turret that turns 360 degrees. The 60s surfing scene comes to life with vans complete with surfboards.

The air collection includes Apache and Chinook helicopters with spinning propellers. Those who favor vintage models will appreciate the firm's Bi-plane inspired by the "Red Baron" with a prop that spins. Those that enjoy fun on the water will enjoy the firm's submarine, and the Midway aircraft carrier that comes with four different helicopters and planes.

The Berretta model is a model featuring over 100 pieces, and the firm's .357 magnum has a rotating chamber that opens. One of the best-known guns worldwide is the Uzi and the LazerModels gun comes with a removable magazine in the grip. The firm's Tommy gun is modeled on the original Thompson submachine gun 1020 for a realistic look and feel.
