CHICAGO, IL, December 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) BiOWiSH Technologies has formed a new subsidiary, BiOWiSH ASEAN, to provide strategic focus on the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region which is slated to become a free-trade zone by 2015. An irrevocable license for commercialization and an option to manufacture BiOWiSH environmental management and agri-business products in ASEAN has been granted by BiOWiSH Technologies to its new subsidiary.
"BiOWiSH Technologies recognizes that local execution is essential to taking our technology to its potential in the region and has established BiOWiSH ASEAN as subsidiary for this purpose," said Rod Vautier, BiOWiSH Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer.
"The integration of ASEAN provides access to a consumer base of almost 600 million people, $1.5 trillion gross domestic product, convenient transport systems, and foreign direct investment of $60 billion. This will provide enormous opportunities for BiOWiSH product applications, distribution and technology partnerships."
Bernard Reynauld, newly appointed BiOWiSH ASEAN Chief Executive Officer, said an opportunity to participate in the new company is currently being offered to select parties in the ASEAN region who can benefit from the value that could be created by their proprietary technology.
"We envision our technology playing a significant role in the ASEAN region, particularly in the areas of food production and environmental management, where we consistently outperform existing methods or practices, while also providing our clients with a certified organic and climate smart solution," Reynauld said.
Mr. Prachuab Chaiyasan, former Thai Foreign Affairs Minister, and Tan Sri Dato' Mohd Ibrahim bin Mohd Zain, Chairman of Century Software Holdings Berhad in Malaysia, have recently been appointed to the BiOWiSH ASEAN Board of Directors.
