Colocation America Achieves 100% Uptime in 2011

Leading data center provider maintains another year of 100% uptime in 2011

2012-01-11
LOS ANGELES, CA, January 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Colocation America, a premier U.S. data center provider, reported today that it has achieved 100% uptime for the year of 2011. Despite frequent occurrences of turbulence and connectivity outages from other telecom providers and data centers, Colocation America managed to maintain perfect uptime for its third year in a row.

"Reliability is an obsession for us at Colocation America. The margin between 99.9% and 100% uptime is often overlooked and underestimated. Over the span of an entire year, that small amount of downtime can result in unredeemable revenue and a tarnished reputation," said Albert Ahdoot, Business Development of Colocation America. "We don't settle for anything less than 100% uptime, and our clients appreciate that."

In addition to their official announcement of 100% uptime in 2011, Colocation America is introducing a new uptime guarantee: every hour of downtime is compensated with a 5% refund on the monthly bill, up to 100%. The promotion features an individual server uptime guarantee, which most competing uptime guarantees do not currently uphold.

Colocation America's multi-homed network provides the foundational backbone for 22 data centers operating nationwide, powered by Tier 1 carriers including Global Crossing, Level 3, and Saavis. The Colocation America team of seasoned engineers with over 40 years of combined hosting and networking experience operate and maintain the network, and are constantly adapting to the latest technologies and advancements in the industry. The combination of optimum quality bandwidth handled by these experienced technicians results in a fully redundant network infrastructure based out of its main data center in Los Angeles.

Through the experience gained from three previous years of full uptime, Colocation America was able to focus on other endeavors while preserving its distinction of reliability. Heightened investments in infrastructure resulted in a collection of newly acquired credentials including PCI Compliance, SAS 70 Type II, and HIPAA certifications. Colocation America closed off the year with notable industry awards including "Most Popular Dedicated Server Provider".
