Sacramento Veteran Teaches Fellow Vets to Dump Stress Fast

David Kenward, The Mental Coach (a former U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman), volunteers his time to teach his fellow veterans (and their families) practical tools to relieve negative stress and avoid meltdowns.

2010-09-24
SACRAMENTO, CA, September 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) "It's all about how we respond to pressure," said Kenward. "The message of my workshops is that while we can't always control the source of negative stress, we can learn tools to control how it affects us."

Kenward has created a four-step stress management system that he says is simple and easy-to use.

"Since our reactions to stress are both about how we think and feel, the steps of my system address both," Kenward said. "When people leave the workshop, they can start using those steps immediately to control how they react to negative stress."

"The most popular step is my one-minute relaxation tool," added Kenward. "People are amazed that they can learn to relax so fast."

Public service is an important part of The Mental Coach and giving the workshops for no charge to veterans and their families is one way he gives back.

The next free stress management workshop is to be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the classroom of The Mental Coach in Sacramento.

People interested in attending can contact David Kenward at 916/802-5897 or by emailing him: david@thementalcoach.com or go to: http://www.thementalcoach.com/workshops

As The Mental Coach, David Kenward combined his experience in sports competition, the medical field and business world with over 30 experience using mental training tools to create systems to solve problems with the mental game, quickly, so competitors can do their best under pressure in baseball, golf and other sports.

If you'd like more information on this topic, or to schedule an interview with David Kenward, please call 916.802.5897 or email: david@thementalcoach.com
