Croydon comedian Andrew Lawrence tops the bill for the forthcoming Punchline comedy night in Edinburgh.

2012-02-08
EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, February 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Andrew Lawrence is set to headline a night of comedy at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on Thursday March 15th.

Presented by Punchline, the evening will see acts such as Seann Walsh and Idiots of Ants performing before the Croydon-born comedian takes the stage.

Lawrence, who is known for his highly articulate and energetic performances, has been nominated for two Edinburgh Comedy Awards and appeared on shows such as Live at the Apollo.

Comedy critics have compared him to the likes of Lee Evans and Jerry Sadowitz, although Lawrence has a style that is all his own.

The support acts are also guaranteed to provide plenty of laughs, as Walsh has won plaudits for his appearances on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and as a frequent panellist on BBC Two's Mock the Week.

Idiots of Ants are a London-based sketch group with five consecutive sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe to their name.

Tickets for the show, which will begin at 20:00 GMT, are priced at GBP20.

LateRooms.com offers a wide range of hotels in Edinburgh that could appeal to comedy fans, including the Albyn Townhouse.
