Famous Kid Brick to Perform at WiLD Splash 2012 Spring Break Concert, Prepares to Release Highly Anticipated Mixtape

Central Florida native son Famous Kid Brick has got to be one of the most opportunistic figures in independent hip hop right now.

2012-02-08
TAMPA, FL, February 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Central Florida native son Famous Kid Brick has got to be one of the most opportunistic figures in independent hip hop right now.

Scheduled to bring down the house during WiLD 94.1's annual WiLD Splash 2012 Spring Break concert in Clearwater, Florida at Coachman Park on Saturday, March 10, 2012, the Hussch Boy Recording artist will be sharing the stage with such hip hop heavyweights as Bad Boy Records' newest sensation Machine Gun Kelly, Atlanta's rapidly rising poster child Future and even the dog himself DMX.

Kicking off at 1 p.m., more than 15,000 fans will fill the waterfront park for a day-long musical adventure. The festival marks the second major concert that WiLD 94.1 has added Famous Kid Brick to the lineup. The rising star's animated performance at Tampa's Last Damn Show 13 in November was so awe inspiring that the station asked him to perform again this Spring.

"With the show that Famous Kid Brick and the Hussch Boy crew put on, you totally forget that it's a local artist performance," says Orlando Davis, WiLD program director.

It was during that show that Brick debuted his latest single "Lucy Nikki," that is now in rotation on WLLD and starting to pick up on mixshow throughout the state. This is now the 3rd single Famous Kid Brick has had on the radio in less than one year. "This new Hip-Pop record is a little different than what most artists are putting out these days," Brick admits. "In this industry you have to be innovative and willing to step outside of the box, and that's what I did with Lucy Nikki."

Added to that, Famous Kid Brick has been featured on DJ Christion's star-studded single "In This Bitch" featuring Fat Joe, Ace Hood and Famous Kid Brick on the hook as well as a verse. Produced by platinum-selling beat technicians Cool and Dre, "In This Bitch" was released ta few short weeks ago and has been getting rave reviews from DJs and fans alike.

Another major stepping stone in Brick's rapidly moving career is the forthcoming release of his highly anticipated mixtape T.G.I.F.A.F.- Thank God Im Famous As F@#k, hosted by DJ Smallz and Brick's official DJ, DJ Shure Fire. The mixtape is set to drop Tuesday March 6 and is powered by Florida's number one entertainment website FutureOfFlorida.com.

Over the past year, Brick had one of Florida's hottest radio and club records "I'm On It" with more than 2,500 BDS spins, 12,000 iTunes downloads and sold out shows throughout the state. He's also started his own clothing line, F.A.F Clothing, featuring the infamous Inked Tanks, and Eat A Brick T-Shirts, which are available for purchase on http://www.FamousKidBrick.com.

"We're trying to brand Brick as more than just an artist, but as a mogul in the making. We know what he's capable of, and sooner or later the rest of the world will get a dose of the radiant rays that our backyards have been soaking up for months now," says Amber - Urban Addiction public relations representative.

Urban Addiction Group, Inc. is a Florida based entertainment liaison opening the doors for people trying to get recognized in the entertainment industry.
