Nightingale Services Promotes Joseph Alexander to Area Manager at Savannah Office

SAVANNAH, GA, February 23, 2012

Nightingale Services, Inc., Georgia's largest family-owned home care company, recently promoted Joseph Alexander to area manager at the Savannah office. Nightingale Services excels at delivering exceptional home health care services to veterans, seniors, private pay, Medicaid and worker's compensation clients.

In his new position, Alexander is responsible for managing a team of five registered nurses and 30 certified nursing assistants. His duties include overseeing the provision of weekly skilled nursing visits and CNA visits with patients, interacting with referral entities and facilitating all aspects of patient care.

In addition, he will work directly with physicians and local agencies to maintain a database of resources available in the community for Nightingale's clients and act as a liaison between case managers and patients to ensure continued care.

Alexander previously served as area manager for the Statesboro, Ga. office of Nightingale Services. He has 20 years of experience in coastal and middle Georgia, working as a coordinator with the community care services program and director of social services in the nursing home industry.

Born in Metter Ga., Alexander grew up in Collins, Ga. and is a 1993 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned a B.S. in Sociology with an emphasis in Gerontology Studies. He is a prior member of the Georgia Gerontology Society. He currently resides in Savannah.
