SAVANNAH, GA, February 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Georgia Super Lawyers recently honored HunterMaclean partner Colin McRae as a 2012 Rising Star. Rising Stars are 40 years of age or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
The elite list of Georgia Rising Stars, which represents more than 70 practice areas, will be published in the March 2012 issue of Atlanta magazine and in a special issue of Georgia Super Lawyers: Rising Stars, which is mailed to every attorney in the state.
"Colin is certainly deserving of this recognition," said Frank S. Macgill, managing partner at HunterMaclean. "He is a talented attorney who represents his clients effectively and makes significant contributions to the local community."
McRae is a partner at the Savannah office of HunterMaclean whose practice areas include admiralty, business litigation, real estate litigation and intellectual property law. He has experience in disputes involving real estate, commercial transactions, premise liability, employment restrictive covenants, and maritime tort and contract matters.
McRae is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Savannah Bar Association. He is a Past President of Savannah Bar Association's Younger Lawyers Division and is a current member of its Executive Committee. The Savannah Bar Association recently presented him with the Robbie Robinson Award for outstanding service to the Savannah community.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Chatham County Board of Registrars and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Community Health Mission. He has serves as attorney coach for the high school mock trial team at Savannah Country Day School.
McRae graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History in 1995, and from the University of Georgia School of Law with a J.D., cum laude, in 1999.
Every year, Rising Stars honors the top young lawyers in Georgia as chosen by Georgia Super Lawyers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. Only 2.5 percent of Peach State attorneys are named Rising Stars.
Rising Stars are selected based upon ballots sent to the most recent group of Super Lawyers, which consists of the top five percent of attorneys in the state. Super Lawyers then vote for the best attorneys who fit the award's age and experience criteria.

2012-02-24
I have long believed that young adult fiction can be just as worthwhile a read for adults as fiction written specifically for a more mature audience. If the writing is strong enough and the themes relevant enough, anyone can enjoy young adult fiction, and that is certainly the case with Suzanne Collins' immensely popular phenomenon, The Hunger Games trilogy.
Collins is a seasoned writer who has brought a lot of intelligence and craft to this trilogy of dystopic books.
Amazon does a great job of summarizing the books if you want a quick synopsis before reading further: ...
