Brother Esau is a Grateful Dead Tribute Band that celebrates the Grateful Dead's music and recaptures the mystique of the iconic band. The band has become a fixture in the Raleigh, Chapel Hill and the Greensboro, NC's Jam Band scene, often collaborating with some of the areas finest musicians. Venues played include The Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC, The Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC, The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC, and The Tavern in Durham, where you can catch them on a regular basis for their monthly Grateful Dead Night. Brother Esau's musical selections draw from the Grateful Dead's huge catalog of songs which spans over 45 years. Their tribute show loosely follows the Grateful Dead's show format with a variety of their songs from 60's-90's. In true Grateful Dead form the second set tends to have songs that seamlessly merge together, allowing for more musical exploration and improvisation, including the interspersing solos, drums and space. In addition, at many of their shows you will find Official Grateful Dead Photographer and Photo Archivist Robbi Cohn, displaying over 20 years of photographs and memorabilia taken and collected while touring with the legendary band.

This partnership is a "win win" say's Chris McClure, Senior agency representative for EastCoast Entertainment (ECE). Not only will this allow Brother Esau more time to concentrate on their music, it will also open the door to more opportunities for them to play to a wider and larger audience. In addition, ECE will have another specialty band to fill their demand for booking shows including, Night Clubs, Private Parties, Music Festivals, Corporate Functions and College Events.

EastCoast Entertainment was founded during the fall of 1976 in Richmond, VA by Dennis Huber and Steve Thomas. Specializing in college, club and private party bookings, Dennis and Steve used their musical backgrounds to ensure that every client had the perfect entertainment at their event.
