BLUE RIDGE, GA, August 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) Providing ways for visitors to get an inside look of a hotel, resort or cabin gives owners an advantage when marketing their properties online. North Georgia cabin rental firm Rainbow Cabins (http://www.rainbowcabins.com/) is heeding this advice by producing exclusive video virtual tours of 6 of its mountain rental cabins to feature on its website by the end of August. The largest of its cabins, the Laughing Bear Lodge, will be filmed and included on the website in 2011.
Prospective visitors to the north Georgia Mountains will be able to see several features of all of Rainbow Cabins' properties up close. Besides being able to closely examine the layout and features of each cabin, visitors will even be able to hear the rushing waters of the Toccoa River and Fightingtown Creek along with crickets each night and robins each morning. Narrators will guide site visitors through each cabin.
"We're delighted to provide our visitors with a way to get a feel of each cabin we offer to properly determine which one best suits their needs," comments Wes Reuning, president of Rainbow Cabins, LLC. "We understand the desire to scope out a place before making the investment in time and money to travel to it."
Video tours are shot with a Canon EOS-7D by Beecher Feature Productions from Cleveland, Tennessee. The Canon EOS camera is a versatile tool for taking both still shots and motion pictures and is a popular camera for weddings, graduations, senior events and nature photos. In addition to the portability of video today, the cost is much less than it was 5 years ago. Once cabin footage is shot with the adjustable 18mm-135mm zoom lens, producers at Beecher edit the footage using Final Cut Pro 7.
"In addition to getting an idea of their vacation destination beforehand in a clear, crisp picture, renters will also be able to revisit their north Georgia cabin anytime to reminisce about their mountain vacation," says Reuning.
To learn more about and see virtual tours of rental cabins in the north Georgia Mountains or to learn more about rates and availability, call (706) 258-3678 or visit http://www.rainbowcabins.com/ today.

Late Summer is Right Time to Attack Magnolia and Tuliptree Insects, says IAA
2010-08-18
August and September are good months to control many of the insects - called "scales" - attacking woody trees and shrubs throughout the state, says Illinois Arborist Association (IAA) President Bill Bolt, a Springfield, Ill.-based consulting arborist. Two trees most affected by scales are Magnolias and Tuliptrees, which may seem to be raining a sticky fluid.
"The syrup-like fluid is actually honeydew - a result of insect feeding by a scale measuring up to one-half-inch in diameter," Bolt said. "This year we have seen one-to-two year old magnolia branches covered with ...
