SARASOTA, FL, February 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) The past year was a busy one for Taylor Morrison, as one of the area's most prolific home builders with 25 active communities in West Florida alone. With plans in the works to unveil additional communities, model homes and amenities in the months ahead, 2012 promises to be even more productive. The company reported 485 homes sold in 2011, as well as 443 closings and 441 permits pulled. Projections for 2012 predict an increase to over 500 home sales and closings.
"We are feeling optimistic about the coming year," said Steve Kempton, president of Taylor Morrison West Florida, "even to the extent that we are actively pursuing land purchases and planning new communities. We are encouraged by an increase in customer traffic both online and in our sales centers. Our year-end sales numbers were on target with our projections, and we expect to see an increase in sales over the next 12 months."
Taylor Morrison is targeting areas from Pasco to Collier counties for its land purchases, securing approximately 2,200 home sites in 2011 with many more in the works. With its recent land purchases and brisk sales, there is no doubt that the company is entering the early part of the year on a positive and active note. In fact, plans are well underway at the recently purchased final phase of the Sandoval community in Cape Coral. Development is expected to begin this summer and construction of models in late 2012, with pre-construction sales opportunities available in March 2012.
2011 was a significant year for Taylor Morrison West Florida in terms of achievement and direction. The team celebrated the successful launch of multiple communities including Tuscany at Tampa Palms and Verona Reserve in Venice. In addition to new communities, Taylor Morrison celebrated a number of model home and amenity grand openings in 2011, including Channing Park and Winthrop Village in Brandon as well as Sun Ketch Townhomes at Northeast in St. Petersburg, Palma Sola Trace in Bradenton and Mediterra in Naples to name a few. The team was also in full swing prepping for the opening of Esplanade, the first and only active lifestyle community in Lakewood Ranch with an on-site lifestyle director.
Plus, the division recorded impressive results in their customer satisfaction surveys, earning an overall regional satisfaction rating of 94.6%.
In 2012, Taylor Morrison plans to ramp up its luxury offerings with a new model in its prestigious Ladera community and the introduction of model homes in Country Club East at Lakewood Ranch. The company also intends to launch a series of new design collections, while always maintaining its commitment to craftsmanship and value appreciation. Kempton credits these adjustments to customer input.
"We constantly listen to what our customers tell us about the designs and options that are most important to their daily lives," he said. "We are vigilant about customer surveys and analyzing market trends, all with the goal of providing our customers with beautiful homes in beautiful communities with the Taylor Morrison trademarks of quality and good design."
The year ahead promises to be equally eventful with new models planned for Ladera, Winthrop Village, Avelar Creek and Tortuga, and exciting new home buying opportunities coming online from Tampa to Naples in communities such as Country Club East at Lakewood Ranch, Lucaya, Sandoval, Treviso Bay and more!
