AUSTIN, TX, September 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) Great Falls Construction Awarded New Artist Community Project in Westbrook
Westbrook, Maine - Great Falls Construction, a leading general contractor in the state of Maine was awarded its newest project for the Westbrook Housing Authority, a 3 unit commercial/residential condominium building. The three-story building will be located at 917 Main St. in downtown Westbrook and is a part of the city's first live/work urban community concept.
The new condominium units will feature a spacious condo with an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen; two bedrooms, and a full bath. In addition, there is a full garage bay and a 200 square foot gallery and shop space on the street level. Construction is slated to start in the middle of September and will conclude in January of 2011.
Westbrook Housing Authority reports that bringing businesses and housing back downtown is a priority of community leaders. "With the studio area on the street level, this new space will be used to bolster Westbrook's artisan community," says Todd Rothstein of Great Falls Construction. "We are very excited to be part of this project. We picture artists living upstairs with their gallery below. It will be a great addition to this growing community."
