NAFA's Annual Conference Heads To St. Louis In April

Fleet managers from throughout the United States and Canada will meet in St. Louis April 21-24 for NAFA's annual conference.

2012-03-15
PRINCETON, NJ, March 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Location, location, location. In conferences, as with business, those three words play a vital role. NAFA Fleet Management Association chose St. Louis as the location for its 2012 Institute & Expo and the decision looks better and better with each passing day. Two and a half months before the conference, the Expo Floor is 100 percent sold out and attendee registrations are pouring in at a much faster clip than in previous years. In fact, NAFA expects to have the best attendance for its annual conference in 7 years (back before the recession affected business travel and overall budgets).

NAFA's 2012 Institute & Expo will take place at America's Center in St. Louis April 21-24. The event is attended by fleet managers, the people responsible for managing the vehicles for corporations and government fleets, who come from throughout the United States and Canada. For St. Louis, that's a pretty short plane ride or a convenient drive from many.

For those flying, flights to St. Louis take less than two hours for areas as diverse as New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Miami, and Dallas. For those driving, St. Louis is less than 350 miles (roughly a 5 or 6-hour drive) for dozens of cities, and even less for 7 of the top 40 most populated cities in the United States:

• #3 Chicago, IL (259 miles)
• #12 Indianapolis, IN (233 miles)
• #20 Memphis, TN (244 miles)
• #25 Nashville, TN (255 miles)
• #27 Louisville, KY (245 miles)
• #28 Milwaukee, WI (310 miles)
• #37 Kansas City, MO (234 miles)

"The 2012 I&E in St. Louis is shaping up to be our best conference in a long time," said NAFA's Executive Director Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "We've got our strongest educational program to date, a great location, and significant interest from the businesses that supply products and services to the fleet industry. If fleet is part of your responsibilities, the I&E can help you make bring back ideas and service referrals worth thousands of dollars for your employer - easily worth the cost of registration."

For more information on the I&E, please visit http://www.nafainstitute.org.

The 2012 I&E takes place April 21-24 at the America's Center in St. Louis, MO. The event program, created by fleet managers for fleet managers, features over 60 hours of fleet training, education, and workshops. In addition to an Expo Floor consisting of more than 200 companies showcasing their products and services, the I&E brings back fan favorites such as the Public Safety Roadeo and the Green Zone. Keynote presentations will be made by Canadian automotive journalist Jim Kenzie and Dr. Peter Bishop, PhD. Official media sponsors for NAFA's 2012 I&E include Automotive Digest, CAMAUTO, Canadian Automotive Fleet, CAR - Canadian Automotive Review, FleetDigest, FleetFocus, Fleet Maintenance, Fleet Management, Fleet Management Weekly, Fleet Owner, Fleet Perspectives, FLEETSolutions, International Fleet World, Light & Medium Truck, Naylor, NGT News, PoliceOne.com, and Utility Fleet Professional.
