Corporate Transactional Attorney Bryan Brown Joins Thompson & Knight in Houston

HOUSTON, TX, March 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Bryan K. Brown as a Partner in the Firm's Houston office.

For more than 20 years, Mr. Brown has focused his practice on complex business transactions. His expertise includes capital market transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital transactions. Mr. Brown represents clients across a wide array of industry sectors, including biotechnology, health care, oil and gas, manufacturing, and oil field services/drilling.

Mr. Brown joins the Firm from the Houston office of Porter Hedges, where he was a partner in the corporate practice group. His experience includes serving as a staff lawyer in the Division of Corporate Finance of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, as well as corporate counsel for McDermott International Inc.

Mr. Brown is a member of a number of professional organizations. He is a frequent author and speaker on the topics of securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance with SEC regulations.

In 1993, Mr. Brown earned his law degree from the Tulane University Law School and an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University in 1989.
