HUDSON, OH, March 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) LifeCenter Plus Health and Fitness Club is hosting the 27th annual Swim for Diabetes in their 25 meter pool.
"We are pleased to be hosting Swim for Diabetes, the largest fund raiser benefiting the Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland," said Jim Clark, Aquatic Director. "With diabetes impacting 9% of Ohio citizens, the Swim for Diabetes is a great way to raise funds to assist with diabetes education, support programs and Camp Ho Mita Koda, a camp for children with diabetes."
The Hudson, Stow and community area residents are invited to improve their health while raising funds to improve someone else's life. The Swim for Diabetes fundraiser will be held in the 25 meter pool at the LifeCenter Plus in Hudson, Ohio located at 5133 Darrow Road. The weekend fundraising event is scheduled for Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., on Saturday, April 21 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sunday, April 22 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
LifeCenter Plus Health and Fitness Club participate in a variety of community charitable events including the successful 2012 Pedal for Heroes cycling benefit that raised money for local Veterans programs in Northeast Ohio and the Boys and Girls Club Giving Tree.
Those interested in participating in water or land fitness to benefit the Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland can register at http://www.diabetespartnership.org. Participants create a personal fundraising page to promote the event and their participation to their family and friends. Participants are eligible to earn great prizes including a commemorative swim t-shirt for those who raise $75 or more.
