Regional Job Fair set for Spirit Lake

Plan to attend the Regional Job Fair to see who is hiring.

SPIRIT LAKE, IA, March 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Companies are hiring! Area employers will be available to talk to potential employees at the Spring Regional Job Fair from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at the Dickinson County Expo Building in Spirit Lake.

The job fair is co-hosted by the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation and Community First Broadcasting. Those attending the job fair should bring resumes and dress to impress.

Past job fairs have proven successful in making employment matches. "When I attended the Iowa Lakes Corridor's job fair last Spring I was pleasantly surprised with the number of area businesses that were there. I found it easy to walk through the fair and visit with many of the business representatives. Fortunately, because of the fair, I found an excellent position with Ranco Fertiservice and an excellent future," Jim Hill, now employed at Ranco Fertiservice in Sioux Rapids.

Companies attending the Job Fair include Avera Holy Family Hospital, Buena Vista University, Cutty's Okoboji Resort Club, Doherty Staffing Solutions, Eaton, Employment Connections, Iowa Lakes Community College, Iowa Workforce Development, Maurer Manufacturing, Meridian Manufacturing Group, Morton Buildings, Northwest Bank, Ranco Fertiservice, Rosenboom, VanderHaag's Inc., Valero Renewables, Westaff, and Youth and Family Resource Services.
