SPRINGFIELD, MO, March 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) BKD Forensics & Valuation Services, a division of BKD, LLP, is pleased to announce that Angela Morelock will be presenting for the Kansas City Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Her presentation "Fraud: Lessons from the Trenches," will focus on trends in occupational fraud, conduction a fraud investigation, financial statement fraud and internal audit's role in fraud prevention and detection.
Morelock leads BKD's forensic accounting and investigations team, providing fraud investigation and prevention, complex litigation support and forensic accounting services for a variety of business clients. Angela and her team have investigated some of the largest fraud cases in the United States. Her clients include the FBI, U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
She is a certified fraud examiner (CFE), certified in financial forensics (CFF), and Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA ) as well as a CPA. Angela has an extensive background in business valuation, and in 1998, earned the AICPA's Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation.
The presentation will take place on April 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at The Clubhouse on Baltimore, Kansas City, MO.
