After some restructuring,The Sharps are ready to hit the road again. They would like to extend the offer to any church or event would like to have The Sharps perform, they will gladly come and spread the good news about Jesus.

2012-03-22
FORT PAYNE, AL, March 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Some 25 years ago in 1985, Joel Sharp had a dream and a prayer - simply to spread the word of God through music. The Lord answered Joel's prayer. Within the next few years after the group formed, the Lord really began to bless the group. The Sharps were awarded things "Best Band in State", voted best upcoming southern gospel group in 1989, winning several talent competitions. With these blessings came the group performing more, helping more souls being saved for Jesus. That is what Joel and The Sharp's mission had been since day one.

Now in 2012, the group is built around the remaining members of the group: Joel, Andy, and Ben. The Sharps have recently recorded a brand new single "Have You Wondered" that is having great success. They have also released a new CD - "Through the Years" - a collection of The Sharps' favorite songs that they are known for.

The Sharps would like to extend the offer to any church or event would like to have The Sharps perform, they will gladly come and spread the good news about Jesus. "God truly blessed my family when I was younger and traveling with the group, now we have prayed and rebuilt" Ben states. "Our name is still known within the southern gospel world, and we would like to reach the point of where we once were, and that is traveling and seeing people come to know Jesus". The Sharps already have bookings for this year, but still have dates available. For schedule, visit their website: http://www.thesharpsquartet.com.

The FLSA requires employers to pay overtime to all employees except those who are "exempt" under the law's definition. Some employers try to get around the overtime requirement by calling employees independent contractors or classifying them as exempt from the overtime pay laws when employees really should be getting overtime. Workers in ...

2012-03-22
The month of April has been designated as Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Month, and at first glance a truck driver working in the Alberta oil patch may not seem the likeliest candidate to pen a memoir about the subject. But in fact, Greg T. Van Riper's fascinating autobiography belies the relative conventionality of his current occupation. And putting pen to paper played a key role in allowing the author to come to terms with his varied and harrowing past experiences.
