Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School Hosts Annual Gala to Raise Funds for Student and Classroom Support

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School's (BDCHS) Parent Advisory Council will host the Phoenix Carnivale fundraiser gala on Saturday, March 31, 2012. The event is from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be held in the school's multi-purpose room. WTSP News Channel 10 anchor Ginger Gadsden serves as the Master of Ceremonies for the night. The school is located at 11602 N. 15th Street Tampa, FL 33612."Our PAC has helped purchase needed school supplies and other items to ensure our students can stay focused on their education and preparing to compete academically at the next level," said BDCHS parent and PAC President Martha Stein. The BDCHS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) sponsors an annual fundraising event to assist with ensuring students have the right educational tools to best prepare them for the college transition. Last year PAC funds helped purchase Amazon Kindle e-Readers for the students.
Founded by former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Derrick Brooks, BDCHS has excelled in helping students advance to the next level of education following their high school years. BDCHS is an A- rated Hillsborough County public charter high school, designed to prepare students for postsecondary success in a small, safe learning environment.
The upscale gala will be fun and exciting. It will feature live and silent auctions, entertainment and food. Parents and guardians of current students, incoming students for the upcoming academic school year, and community and business partners are welcome to attend. Ticket prices are $60. The PAC is currently accepting donated items to be auctioned during the event.
