This book contains the complete Michigan Rules of Evidence, effective February 15, 2012, the Federal Rules of Evidence, effective December 1, 2011, and the Traditional Federal Rules of Evidence, effective through November 30, 2011.
The Federal Rules of Evidence are the fourth set of federal rules to be restyled as part of what is known as "The Style Project." Many of the changes in the restyled Federal Rules of Evidence result from the effort to use formatting to make the meaning and application of the federal court rules clearer. The rules have been broken down into progressively indented subparagraphs with headings and a hanging indent outline structure. Michigan Evidence Rules, Courtroom Quick Reference includes the official commentary detailing the changes in the restyled rules. The inclusion of the Traditional Federal Rules of Evidence as well as the Restyled Federal Rules of Evidence in this book allows quick and painless cross-referencing for those accustomed to the old evidence rules.
Each rule set in the book has been thoroughly indexed, enabling the reader to find relevant rules quickly and easily. This edition is arranged in a single-column format with larger typeface to make the text easy to read at a glance.
