2012-04-04
GAITHERSBURG, MD, April 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Raxco Software announced the release of PerfectDisk Free Defrag for consumer use. Raxco, the computer performance leader and creator of the award-winning PerfectDisk defragmentation solution, has created the most advanced, thorough and user-friendly free defrag tool available on the market today. PD Free provides the full functionality of the PerfectDisk defrag engine.

PD Free launches with the Quick Defrag scan and optimization pass - the fastest on the market - then defaults to Raxco's exclusive patented SMARTPlacement intelligent optimization strategy. Consumers will enjoy the "set it and forget it" daily and weekly scheduling options. A one-time defrag is also available.

"PD Free is a game changer in the defrag market for consumers." says Arthur Frischman, President of Raxco Software. "No longer will consumers pay for this necessary process as a standalone product; PD Free offers the most thorough solution on the free defrag market that will keep users' computers humming ..."

PerfectDisk Free Defrag is Raxco's first release in 2012 after multiple utility releases in the second half of 2011, including PerfectUpdater (driver updater), PerfectRegistry (registry cleaner), and the new computer security line; PerfectAntivirus and AntivirusPlus. Raxco plans to release PerfectBackup (online data backup) and a new version of PerfectSpeed PC Optimizer later this spring.

"PD Free is not ad supported," continues Frischman, "and we are not holding back on the key features that made PerfectDisk the default defrag engine for millions of computer users worldwide."

Raxco Software has been helping large enterprises, small businesses, and consumers with their computer performance management needs for more than thirty-four years. The PerfectDisk line has a long award-winning history, including a 5-star review from Download.com, winner of Windows IT Pro Readers' Choice Awards for Defragmentation Utility and Storage Management Tool, Redmond Magazine's Best of the Best Award, and PC Magazine's Editor's Choice award.
