CHARLESTON, SC, April 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina stopped by Goose Creek High School in Goose Creek, SC on Wednesday March 14th 2012 to speak to the personal finance class about the law and legal profession. The class was a small group of students that had met throughout the school year to learn about all of the aspects of personal finance and money issues. Attorney Guthrie came in to speak to the class about how the law and legal industry could have a major impact on one's personal finances. Mr. Guthrie talked about the role the legal system plays in affecting one's life and how the family courts, probate courts, and criminal courts worked together. Attorney Guthrie explained the need to plan ahead and practice fiscal responsibility to prevent the potential adverse outcomes of becoming part of the legal system. Mr. Guthrie explained different things to avoid and watch out for being involved in the legal system. Evan Guthrie also went into the steps he took to start his own business and offered advice to those in the class that wanted to do the same. Attorney Guthrie also answered questions the students had that ranged from how to get clients to how long it takes in school to become a lawyer. Mr. Guthrie enjoyed his visit to Goose Creek High and hoped to be able to return and speak to the students again.
