ATLANTA, GA, April 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) Atlanta's e-VERIFILE.COM Inc, is pleased to announce that it has signed The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and its Central Florida Rail Corridor(CFRC) project to e-RAILSAFE SHORTLINE--- a web-based solution that assists Short Line and Regional Railroad operators with routine workforce safety and security management.
The CFRC is a 61-mile rail line that FDOT purchased from the CSX Corporation in 2011. The corridor is currently undergoing upgrades to support a commuter rail line which is expected to be complete by early 2014. Phase I of the project will include double track, signal improvements, 12 stations, and an operations control center.
FDOT is expected to use ERS-ShortLine to ensure greater security and safety compliance amongst its CFRC contractor workforce. Based on the successful e-RAILSAFE service for Class 1 Railroads, ERS-ShortLine enables short line railroad operators to easily facilitate personnel screening, compliance awareness and workplace credentialing for their employees and contractors via Compliance Programs that they create at ers-shortline.com.
CFRC Contractors that are required to participate, will be instructed to subscribe to ERS-ShortLine, enroll in the appropriate program and complete the required tasks to determine their eligibility to access key work sites and facilities.
FDOT and their CFRC contractors/third party workforce personnel will be able to manage the entire process from one, easy-to-use, web-based platform. No additional software or equipment is required and the system can be securely accessed from any PC, anywhere at any time.
"Given our history with CSX through our e-RAILSAFE Class I service, we are especially honored to now be serving the Florida Department of Transportation on this project", says Mark Wilson, e-VERIFILE's President and CEO. "We look forward to assisting FDOT in creating a safer and more secure environment for their workforce" Wilson concluded.

Their ...
