2012-04-13
ISERE, FRANCE, April 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Itris Automation Square announces its entry into the Japanese market, following its recent partnership with the Japanese company A.I. Corporation (A.I.C.), based in Tokyo. A solutions vendor, A.I.C. provides marketing, development and engineering services focused on the engineering of software for embedded systems, communications and networks.

Japan is an industrial center that has a high concentration of high-tech companies, particularly PLCs suppliers. A.I.C. becomes the reseller of Itris Automation Square's products in Japan. This implementation will also facilitate contacts between Itris Automation Square and Japanese PLC manufacturers, which sell about 20% of PLCs worldwide (Source: ARC Advisory Group).

Since their early days, Itris Automation Square's tools have been created to meet the needs of the global market. After several export successes in 2011 (5% of sales), Itris Automation Square has decided to structure its international expansion. Japan, a country that develops, uses and prescribes PLCs, is a beachhead to address the Asian market. To do so, an experienced Business Developer has also joined Itris Automation Square's team. He is in charge of setting up a business network in the Asia-Pacific zone.

Éric Pierrel, General Manager of Itris Automation Square, explains: " We are very pleased with the establishment of this partnership in a promising market like Japan. A.I.C. is a trusted partner that will facilitate the distribution of our products to Japanese customers. The Asian market is for us a very important growth driver for years to come ".

Hiroyuki Kato, President of A.I. Corporation, adds: " Itris Automation Square's solution will dramatically improve quality and maintenance for PLC programming. We are excited to work with IAS and add such a unique and promising solution to the portfolio of products that we present ".

Based in Grenoble, France, Itris Automation Square (IAS) is a software company that provides products for the conversion, verification and documentation of PLC programs. Through advanced technologies, IAS allows its clients to improve their development process and therefore write better programs faster. Marketed as a software-as-a-service (SAAS), IAS' products are based on innovative technologies and a team known for its specialist skills and extensive experience in software engineering.

IAS has Schneider Electric, EDF, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Tetra Pak, the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône and Snecma among its main clients.

Data mining opens the door to predictive neuroscience
2012-04-13
The discovery, using state-of-the-art informatics tools, increases the likelihood that it will be possible to predict much of the fundamental structure and function of the brain without having to measure every aspect of it. That in turn makes the Holy Grail of modelling the brain in silico—the goal of the proposed Human Brain Project—a more realistic, less Herculean, prospect. "It is the door that opens to a world of predictive biology," says Henry Markram, the senior author on the study, which is published this week in PLoS ONE. Within a cortical column, the basic processing ...

In a decision handed down in February 2012, the Massachusetts Supreme Court clarified the extent to which the law decriminalized actions involving marijuana, holding that possession with intent ...
