Deals Magazine Announces Upgraded Android App

Deals Magazine, the print and online deals publication that uses patent-pending software to customize a user's shopping area, announces the update of its official Deals Magazine app for Android systems.

2012-04-25
DES PLAINES, IL, April 25, 2012 (Press-News.org) Deals Magazine announces the update of its app for Android that allows subscribers to utilize all of the website's features, directly on their Android phone. With this update, subscribers can search for and purchase deals, track, manage and redeem their vouchers. Similar updates are planned for the Deals Magazine iPhone app.

"The Android app improvements open up a whole new playing field when users have the opportunity to find and purchase a deal while they are shopping," said Gemma Piscotti, Director of Operations and Marketing. "They can purchase deals and redeem them immediately."

Piscotti says the benefits for the subscriber are obvious, but the updated app also presents a great opportunity for businesses to earn new customers.

"If a subscriber sees a great deal for a business near where they are working or shopping, they can stop in right away and redeem that deal," said Piscotti. "This app will bring more purchasers to businesses by offering subscribers on-the-go deals as they travel to and from home, work or school."

The app also extends Deals Magazine's green initiative by reducing the need to print out vouchers, reducing the amount of paper waste.

"Our on-demand search capabilities also reduce the need to drive all around town looking to save a buck, which reduces the use of gas," said Piscotti. "Even with our high gas prices, Chicagoans can still enjoy our great city and its suburbs."

In addition to the other green initiatives, Deals Magazine will plant 20 trees in honor of any subscriber that refers 10 purchasing friends over the course of one year through its organization, http://ReplaceATree.org.

"We are quickly earning our reputation as a green company," said Piscotti. "It is very important to us to not only offer convenient deals for our subscribers, but also support a sustainable environment."

The free, official Deals Magazine Android application can be found by visiting https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dealsmagazine.buyer.
