Dr. Rodney Schmelzer Returns to Salt Lake City

Dr. Schmelzer returns to the Salt Lake City area to continue his highly-specialized pediatric care and surgical services. He is partners with Dr. Louis Morales and the Craniofacial Foundation of Utah and Plastic Surgery Associates.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, April 25, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Rodney Schmelzer, craniofacial surgeon, is now a partner at Plastic Surgery Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah. He returns from the Phoenix, AZ area to continue his highly-specialized pediatric care and surgical services in Salt Lake, and serving the Provo, Ogden and Logan areas as well.

Even more important, this craniofacial surgeon's skills and experience are balanced by a kid-focused approach to working with his young patients and a passion for making a difference. Dr Schmelzer says, "When the parents, or child, smile and tell you that you changed their child's life . . . to be a part of that, quite simply, is the most gratifying part of my job." Dr. Schmelzer is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with the focus on the child first and always. He takes the time to educate parents and families about the child's diagnosis and ensure that all questions are answered.

His extensive experience goes well beyond the basic pediatric plastic surgery; including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, syndromes (Crouzon, Apert, Treacher-Collins and Pfeiffer), vascular malformations (hemangiomas, lymphangiomas), microtia, facial nerve injury, skull and facial tumors (fibrous dysplasia), skull and facial trauma.
