LOS ANGELES, CA, May 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) California State Sen. Alex Padilla is one step closer to having California begin to test autonomous vehicles to help reduce the number if accidents on state roads, but a legal referral network says that regardless of the bill's fate, accidents will still happen.
"When accidents do happen, our expert team of attorneys can help," said James Logan, marketing coordinator for CaliforniaCarAccidentLaw.com, a website that was built and developed to provide legal help for car accident victims.
Logan explained that the website provides accident victims with a variety of information as it relates to car accidents.
"We also allow accident victims to submit questions that will be answered by an attorney, plus our website provides traffic updates, recent accident news and more," said Logan.
The latest news in car safety as it relates to southern California, Logan noted is that Padilla is pushing lawmakers for computer controlled cars to be allowed on California roads, similar to what the state of Nevada is currently doing. The bill, Senate bill 1298, is currently working its way through the California legislature.
Whether or not autonomous cars are allowed on state roads in the future, Logan said, car accidents are not something that most people expect.
"But in the event an accident does happen, we want all accident victims to know that there is help available," Logan said. "If you suffer serious injury in a California car accident with a driver who is indifferent to the safety of others, you may suffer devastating injuries or even the loss of someone you love. We have hard working and compassionate California car accident lawyers that understand the challenges you face as an accident victim."
Logan added that the website's network of expert car accident lawyers is prepared to provide innovative litigation strategies, cutting edge technology in the courtroom and impassioned advocacy.
"To us, a client is more than a "plaintiff," they are respected members of the community and beloved family members," Logan stressed. "Our California car accident litigation team prides itself on keeping clients informed on the status of their car accident lawsuit and returning calls promptly. We are committed to the principle that the practice of law is a service oriented industry and strive to provide the highest quality of legal services to our clients."

The introduction of urban railways is one of the most effective ways to deal with traffic problems in large cities. However, in the vicinity of railways, day-by-day vibrations from trains may cause discomfort to people, the malfunctioning of sensitive equipment, and even damage to old buildings, and railways therefore have serious environmental ...
Maintain your brain: The secrets to aging success
2012-04-30
Aging may seem unavoidable, but that's not necessarily so when it comes to the brain. So say researchers in the April 27th issue of the Cell Press journal Trends in Cognitive Sciences explaining that it is what you do in old age that matters more when it comes to maintaining a youthful brain not what you did earlier in life.
"Although some memory functions do tend to decline as we get older, several elderly show well preserved functioning and this is related to a well-preserved, youth-like brain," says Lars Nyberg of Umeå University in Sweden.

Scientists provide first large-scale estimate of reef shark losses in the Pacific Ocean

In a study published online April 27 in the journal Conservation Biology, an international team of marine scientists provide the first estimates ...
