NEW YORK, NY, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) The web offers an abundance of information about infertility causes and treatments. However, while much of the information provided is well-intentioned, not all sources are accurate: some may be erroneous, misleading or not applicable to every situation. In order to help potential and current patients alike, Dr. Eric Flisser of Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) of New York has created a blog to provide medically accurate and relevant information about the diagnosis of infertility, its causes and treatments.
Dr. Flisser's mission in launching the RMA of New York Infertility Blog is to educate patients, dispel myths and provide clear explanations about the causes of and treatments for infertility:
"The Internet provides a wealth of information to patients seeking answers to personal questions of all types, but does not provide a filter by which to evaluate the answers that are found. Our goal is to provide an accessible and reliable source for patients seeking more information about infertility."
Dr. Flisser will work with RMA of New York's team of clinicians to provide the most up-to-date information on female factor infertility, male factor infertility, emotional and nutritional considerations during infertility treatment, as well as many other topics of patient interest.

The presiding judge, or other designated judge, will conduct the first mediation session in an effort to get the parties to come to an agreement to settle the matter. If the first mediation session fails to settle the dispute, the parties can agree to continue the mediation process.
According to the new statute, "achieving a prompt settlement or resolution of the ...
Legislation for Mandatory Seat Belts in School Buses
2010-09-29
A bill that will require seat belts in all school buses acquired after January 1, 2014 is awaiting the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Kathleen Chandler, D-Kent.
Recent school bus accidents have aroused questions regarding the safety of the high backed, padded seats meant to contain children in the case of an impact. A bus surveillance camera captured footage of a recent crash in Circleville, Ohio. The video is now on YouTube and depicts high school students being violently projected over the seats to the other side of the bus.

A report outlining the risks of at-home births was published in March by the Center for Disease Control. The National Vital Statistics Report showed a rise in out-of-hospital births, a 5 percent increase from 2004 to 2005.
The Benefits of Home Births
More women are choosing to give birth in their own homes or at freestanding birthing centers so they have more control over the birthing experience. The Vital Statistics Report shows that the majority of women choosing a home birth have already given birth in a hospital. This suggests that women are having negative hospital ...

Lowe's Drywall Settlement Under Scrutiny
2010-09-29
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has received over 3,500 complaints from individuals in 38 states relating to defective drywall. Though a majority of these complaints come from Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, the problem has the potential to affect consumers nationwide.
Many of the affected homes were built or repaired in 2006 and 2007 after the previous year's hurricane season increased the demand for drywall. As a result of the domestic shortage, the drywall suspected in many of these cases was imported from China. Consumers have filed numerous lawsuits ...
