BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) This year's St George Bank Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) is sure to result in movie lovers heading to the Queensland city in their hundreds.
Described by the organisers as one of the most exciting events on the Brisbane social calendar, it will take place between November 4th and 14th 2010.
Although the full line-up of special guests and movies has yet to be confirmed, film fanatics staying in Brisbane CBD hotels should make sure they don't miss the grand opening night spectacle.
In previous years, a host of famous names - including British Broadway actress Carey Mulligan and Little Miss Sunshine and About a Boy star Toni Collette - have graced the occasion with their presence, with prospective visitors no doubt hoping a similarly well-known performer will be lined up for the 2010 instalment.
David Stratton, George Miller and Geoffrey Rush have also attended the opening night in the past.
However, there is plenty more beyond the curtain-raising event to enjoy at this year's BIFF, with the organisers picking out the Gala and Showcase screenings as particularly exciting.
