SUWANEE, GA, May 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Georgia-based DIYAutoTune, manufacturer and distributor of the trademarked MegaSquirt line of engine management systems (EMS) for racing, off-road and other sport and recreational vehicles, has released the next generation of its MegaSquirtPNP Engine Management System (EMS), the MegaSquirtPNP Gen 2.
The MegaSquirtPNP Gen2 takes things in a different direction from the original MegaSquirt EMS do-it-yourself (DIY) automotive tuning products, by offering a fully PNP (Plug-and-Play) line of EMS systems for several vehicle makes and models, providing full control engine management giving the tuner full fuel control, ignition control, as well as control of many racing oriented features such as nitrous, boost, and launch control and adjustable rev limiters. This allows tuners and vehicle owners to fully control the tune of their engine by simply connecting a laptop to the MSPNP and adjusting the tune to match the specific vehicle's needs, maximizing horsepower, torque, fuel economy, and even emissions.
"We are on fire with the release of our latest version of the MegaSquirt PNP," said Jerry Hoffman, DIYAutoTune founder and president. "We have been hard at work expanding our product line to take the incredible capability of our DIY oriented MegaSquirt EFI systems, and to remove the homework and technical labor required out of DIY tuning and installations, and this latest PNP Kit, the MegaSquirtPNP Gen2, makes it easier than ever for owners to easily handle their own EMS needs with ease and with the confidence of the pros."
The MegaSquirtPNP Gen2 kits currently fit the Nissan SR20DET in S13 (240SX / Silvia / 180SX) applications; the '90-'95 Mazda Miata; '87-'92 BMW 325i; '85-'90 Toyota 4AGE and 22RE and the '89-'94 Nissan 240SX models, with more on the way including Ford EEC-IV models that are coming soon supporting just about every Ford made from 1986-1995, Hoffmann said.
The MegaSquirtPNP line of EMS products offer a full plug-and-play installation process, with no wiring required, in under an hour. Base maps for the PNPs are pre-loaded for quick start, offer real-time tuning and data logging and support most aftermarket wideband sensors.
The legacy DIY oriented MegaSquirt line of Engine Management Systems are Do It Yourself (DIY) systems capable of full standalone engine management at very affordable prices, allowing the Do-It-Yourselfer to build a fully capable EMS for a fraction of the cost of any other system on the market. The MSPNP Gen2 line of products takes all of the hard work out of that process, and has you ready to tune your engine in minutes.
