The 25-year-old athlete, who currently holds the world record for the 100 m and 200 m, will prepare for this year's Olympic Games by running in the Italian capital on Thursday May 31st.

Bolt is set to line up against his compatriot Asafa Powell and Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre in the 100 m.

The 21-year-old will be aiming to test himself against the might of Bolt and Powell, who have dominated the international sprinting scene in recent years.

All three men are set to have one eye on the Olympics in London this summer, with Rome's Stadio Olimpico expected to provide an ideal location for the athletes to gauge their preparations.
