Ardanaiseig Hotel awarded 3rd AA Rosette and Inspector's Choice Status

Ardanaiseig Hotel in Argyll has today been awarded a third rosette for its restaurant, placing it in the top ten per cent of AA-rated restaurants in the UK. The hotel has also achieved the coveted 'Inspector's Choice' status.

2010-09-29
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Ardanaiseig has long been known as a food-lovers hotel and it can now boast a third AA rosette for its loch-side restaurant. According to the AA, Ardanaiseig can be described as having 'an outstanding restaurant that achieves standards that demand recognition well beyond its local area. The cooking is underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgment of flavour combinations are excellent. These virtues are supported by other elements, such as intuitive service and a well-chosen wine list'.

Ardanaiseig's existing three star hotel rating has also been elevated, receiving the 'Inspector's Choice' status, which is identified by red stars. According to the AA, 'this is the supreme accolade used to recognise hotels as the very best in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, regardless of size or style'

Hotel Manager, Peter Webster, is delighted with both awards, explaining 'our remote setting has never stopped us striving to be world class in everything we do. Ardanaiseig is a very special place and we want every customer to leave with fond memories of breathtaking surroundings, heart-warming interiors, friendly first-class service, and of course, outstanding cuisine. We are particularly pleased that Gary's Goldie's unfaltering dedication and flair in the kitchen has been so deservedly rewarded.

An overnight stay with full Scottish breakfast starts from GBP66 per person. A 7-course tasting menu by Gary Goldie costs around GBP50 per person. Further information can be found at http://www.ardanaiseig.com.
