SARASOTA, FL, May 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Nancy Havens, DDS, has recently relocated her general dentistry practice to Sterling Dental at 2900 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34239. A practicing dentist in the Sarasota area since 1993, she also serves as a forensic odontologist.
Havens holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in Columbus.
"Providing quality dental/medical care requires efficient management and joining the Sterling Dental business team allows me to concentrate on my dentistry," says Havens.
Raised in Fairview Park outside of Cleveland, Ohio, Havens worked as a nurse and a dental hygienist before moving to Sarasota in 1976. She continued nursing with Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Doctors Hospital, alternating between the two hospitals for many years.
In 1982, Havens moved to Sumiswald, Switzerland, where she worked three years with a private dentist and participated in periodontal and oral cancer research at the Inselspital in Bern. "I hooked up with other Americans through the U.S. Embassy and we traveled all over Europe," she remembers.
Havens also serves on a federal and a state mass disaster team and is on the Affiliate Staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for tooth pain and oral disease.
