Empire City Casino At Yonkers Raceway Offers "Mighty May" Giveaways, Promotions And Entertainment Highlighted By Mother's Day And Memorial Day Gifts

Mother's Day and Memorial Day giveaways highlight the "Mighty May" month-long promotions calendar at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway. On Sunday, May 13, all ladies who present their Empire Club membership card will receive a lovely Candy Dish for Mothers' Day (5,000 while supplies last), while on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, the first 10,000 Empire Card members will receive an Empire City "Patriotic 6-Pack Cooler" to launch the "unofficial" summer season. The "May Moolah" Thursdays will give slot-players to cash in throughout the month.

Empire City lady members will take home a sweet gift on Sunday May 13th when they receive one free candy dish while supplies last at the Promotions Table.

Here is the Young at Heart lineup with two performances each week at noon and 2 p.m.: May 9th, Beauty & the Grease; May 16th, the Remnants; May 23rd, the Guss Hayes Band; and May 30th, the Peter Lawrence Orchestra.

Thursday Tribute Bands bring in performances of popular music during May, slated at both 8 p.m and 10 p.m. Here are the May Tribute Bands: May 10th, Ada Dyer (Aretha Franklin Tribute); May 17th, 52nd Street (Billy Joel Tribute); May 24th, Higher Ground (Stevie Wonder Tribute); and May 31st, Still Surfin' (Beach Boys Tribute).

"MILLION" will be the watchword Thursdays this month. "May Moolah" makes its debut from 2-6 p.m. each week, and five Empire Club members will be called every 30 minutes to play "Zoom Ball" for the chance to win a range of prizes, including the grand prize of $1 million in cash. Members called to participate will receive a $100 Bally free play, and other prizes include $5,000 cash and a wide range of Bally free play. The Thursday dates are 10, 17, 24 and 31.

The Friday Music Series has these bands taking the stage for performances at 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.:May 11th, Stages; May 18th, Soul Sound Revue; and May 25th, the Dean Scale Band.
