Erik Dalton Recieves Lifetime Achievement Award

May 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Beginning his work as a Certified Rolfer in the early 80s, Erik saw a need for a more integrative pain management technique. Post-graduate training with the legendary Philip Greenman at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine sparked a passion to wed deep tissue, joint mobilization and the work of Vladimir Janda. After finding this approach enormously effective in relieving client pain, Dalton decided to share his methods with the rest of the bodywork community.

In 1998, Erik Dalton put out one of the industries first nationally approved home study courses titled "Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques." Surprised by the overwhelming popularity, Dr.Dalton founded a teaching facility licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools and named it the Freedom From Pain Institute.

Today, his "Complete Myoskeletal Library" of DVDs, books, and home-study programs continues to be a top-selling educational choice for massage, sports and structural integration therapists. His creative and intuitive technique in assessing and treating the human body has spread worldwide through his teachings and those few he has chosen as Certified Myoskeletal Instructors. His passion for touch therapy is ideally summed up in a famous quote by an unknown author that simply states, "Truly Educated Never Graduate."
