FingerTec USA Promotes Expanded Selection of Fingerprint Time Clocks with New Keylock 8800

The new Keylock 8800 mechanical lock from FingerTec USA combines high-tech fingerprint reader software with a stainless steel latch to create a lock that is secure and durable.

2012-05-12
BROOKLYN, NY, May 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) The security experts at FingerTech USA have recently released the Keylock 8800, a new mechanical lock which features four locking methods, a double latch, and an easy-to-use LCD screen. Available for less than 500 dollars, the Keylock 8800 fingerprint door lock can be purchased online from http://www.FingerTecUSA.com.

"With the new Keylock 8800, we've combined all the latest and greatest technology into one smart mechanical lock. It has a finger scanner, but can also be used with passwords, RFID cards, or even a regular old key. It is super simple to operate and install, making it a great choice for any building administrator," said Ryan King, a Technical Manager at FingerTec USA.

The FingerTec Keylock 8800 allows building managers to decide whether they want to unlock via a password, mechanical key, finger scanner, or some combination thereof. RFID card access can be custom built into the lock as well. The mechanical lock features two latches: a dual direction latch above and a stainless steel latch that can only be opened or closed from the inside.

The fingerprint door lock can store up to 500 fingerprint templates, 100 passwords, and 30,000 transaction logs. When necessary, the information stored in the fingerprint reader software can be transferred to the computer via USB, a feature unique to the Keylock 8800.

The LCD screen and simple buttons on the FingerTec Keylock 8800 are intuitive and easy to use, even for those unfamiliar with fingerprint reader software. The mechanical lock offers three levels of user access and the convenience of adding, modifying, or otherwise adjusting users directly from the integrated LCD screen. There is also a visitor mode that will prevent the door from locking for times when entrance to the building should not require verification.

The FingerTec Keylock 8800 works on its own without any complex wiring or installation. It relies on four standard alkaline 1.5V batteries, good for up to 5,000 unlocking activities. The mechanical lock aspect of the Keylock 8800 is made of pure stainless steel with a zinc alloy finish that is good for 10 years of normal usage.

According to King, "We've done our best to create an extremely secure mechanical lock with a wire-free installation and flexible interface. The LCD screen is user friendly, and the multiple unlock methods ensure that the Keylock 8800 has something for everyone. At the same time, the fingerprint scanner is reliable and sensitive, and the double latch system adds an extra layer of security designed to increase your peace of mind."

To find out more about this new mechanical lock, visit the FingerTec USA website at http://www.FingerTecUSA.com or connect with a customer support representative by calling 646-898-0505.
